Wine Wall In Dining Room

This Premium wine wall in a dining room setting, is finished in a Macassar ebony high gloss veneer with moisture-resistant core.

It is the ultimate gentleman’s, connoisseur and designer retail chose of luxury timber finish. This Macassar ebony wine display has been further complemented with light brushed brass doors and handles.

The slim profile brushed doors with concealed hinges, not only look fantastic, but have all the built-in functional requirements for a refrigerated wine wall display. The doors close onto the internal sub-frame gasket, that creates an airtight seal. Once closed they automatically lock via an internal fob controlled built-in locking system. The RFID fob reader has been concealed inside the wine displays external cabinetry side wall, in a location selected by the client. Scanning the fob over this area of the displays external sidewalls will unlock the doors.

Multi Temperature Cooling Zones

The left and right wine display cabinets have independent cooling systems allowing two separate temperature zones. Internal analogue polished brass porthole marina style thermometers can be seen at high level above the shelves. The porthole style brass temperature displays are purely visual and do not control the built-in digital control system.

Centre glass-fronted drawers sit between the wine cabinets and are for room temperature storage of spirit bottles. The spirit bottles sit on flocking lined, led lit shelving that illuminates the bottles.

Led Lighting

Concealed under each internal shelf are tuneable led lights that can be changed between cool and warm colour led lighting. This interchangeable lighting feature is incorporated into the dining room automated lighting control system. The led strips are fitted into a deep aluminium channel with a diffuser. The channel is deep enough to ensure the light appears as a clean beam of light with no bulb spotting.

Wine walls – single glazed or double glazed doors?

Internal wine display temperatures, surrounding space and appliances, determine the glazing selection of a wine wall in a dining room setting. Nearby underfloor heating, cooking appliances and heaters will cause dew point condensation to form on a single glazed temperature-controlled wine display. In the same manner you would find condensation around single glazed windows of a warm room on a cold day outside. Therefore, with all wine storage, the glass specification along with framed doors in an airtight gasket sealed sub frame design, must be factored in. Frame-less single glazed wine display doors, will cause an unstable environment with corked wines.

An owner of that type of bespoke wine display will find issues with fluctuating unstable display temperatures.

This will of course not be an issue if your wine wall is purely of aesthetic design, without cooling function.

This ultra-luxury wine wall in the dining room was an £88,000+vat design project.
