This gloss lacquer ultra-modern walk-in wine room design is a retrofit concept addition to a client’s games room.
All the design hues follow-through from the games room space, to create the appearance, it was part of the original design and build.
Originally it started out as a four-door Bespoke wine display design project, on the initial site survey, we established the void in place had the potential to push further back into the loft eves. This, therefore, allowed the creation of a deeper space that enables a design as a walk-in wine room option.
Walk-in wine storage spaces are great additions to entertainment areas in the home.
Even the smallest foot print space, can be transformed into a functional temperature controlled wine room.
Whether its a completely new build project or retro fit into an existing space.

Floating gloss lacquer shelving, brass inlays, marbled acrylic lighting box, marble flooring, polished reflective black gloss ceiling with recessed halo appearance led behind a frosted acrylic diffuser.
This dark-themed Luxury Wine Storage gives off a true man-cave feel to space, also the 1920’s ‘deco’ black and brass material combinations incorporated in this design follow-through from the surrounding games room bar.
The added backlit marbled acrylic feature added to the back wall can also be seen in the image on the back wall of the games room bar.
The silver wave marble flooring in the walk-in wine room matches the stone used for the bar counter of the games room.
The ceiling has also been finished in a reflective high gloss lacquer to mirror the shelving. This has dynamic recessed daylight diffused led halo lighting design sitting overhead.
The internal left and right cheeks of this walk-in room wine room are clad in a black mirrored acrylic. The black mirrored acrylic adds depth to the dark theme.
In this Design we incorporated concealed under shelf led lighting throughout the floating shelving.
As demonstrated in the image, by diffusing the led light; with a recess deep enough into the shelf, it appears as an uninterrupted horizontal light strip. If diffusers were left out of the design with the led lighting element, the lights would conflict the luxury theme with the appearance of small spotted lights reflecting off the surfaces.
The lighting design features zones, controlled from dimmable drivers. The drivers in turn, will need integrating with the home automation system. This allows the walk-in wine room lighting to be controlled with the existing surrounding space.
The refrigeration cooling system is concealed behind the rear wall.
The cooling system sits wall mounted in a purpose-built cavity behind the back wall. We designed the ducted air-off the evaporator at a high level into the walk-in wine room through a gloss finish linear air diffuser grill.
The cooling cavity works as an independent air conduit. It draws in air from the wine room at a low level behind the wine cases. Having this type of separation meant all the mechanical and electrical can be serviced from the rear. This means there is no need for engineers to access the internal luxury wine storage space.
This walk-in wine room is a £95,000+VAT project to deliver in the UK.
